Erin Matson finishes North Carolina hockey career in title style

USA star Erin Matson ended her college career as one of the most decorated in any NCAA sport after a late winner in the national final.

North Carolina beat Northwestern 2-1 to capture their 10th title.

The Tar Heels scored via a deflected goal through Ryleigh Heck before Northwestern levelled late. But Matson scored with 79 seconds left to put the Tar Heels into wonderland.

The win helped the Tar Heels, coached by Karen Shelton, finish the year 21-0 in another memorable season for this standout college team.

Victory was also the fourth title in the past five seasons.
