Commonwealth Games 2022: ‘There’s a new lease of life with Scottish Hockey’

“As a women’s squad, we have a group with players who have a lot of caps for Scotland,” says captain Sarah Robertson. “We know we have won only one thing, and that’s the Euro Championships II in Glasgow in 2019. Players now want something to show for it, rather than just putting on the shirt.”

We’ve heard it a few times now from the Scottish camp; how the women’s team has set its sights on becoming a world top 10 side. And Robertson, one of five GB Hockey players in the Scottish camp, feels that are a number of factors as to why this could be achievable at some point.
