Women’s Hockey World Cup: We are growing as people, says Chile’s Manuela Urroz

“Our DNA is about discipline and passion,” says Manuela Urroz, Chile’s experienced star player.

The Devils have certainly combined both in this World Cup, their wealth of caps across the squad helping immensely as they first overcame Ireland to earn a breakthrough first win in the sport’s showpiece and then set up a crossover against Belgium, with the chance of taking on the Netherlands for a second time next Tuesday.

“This was our greatest win,” Urroz, who debuted in 2009 and has over 200 caps, told THP following the Ireland win.
