UK summer hockey camps: MH1, Maddie Hinch’s goalkeeper course

MH1 Coaching was founded in 2017 by Olympic gold medallist Maddie Hinch. The world-leading summer camp programme for U18s and adults is designed by Maddie, incorporating the training techniques she has used throughout her career to remain at the top of the game for many years. These camps are a celebration of goalkeeping and offer participants the opportunity to collaborate with other goalkeeping enthusiasts to learn more about this specialist position.

Ethos

Unique, fun, innovative and family orientated, tailored to you. We want you to feel empowered to “Be you. Be limitless.”

What they say

Aside from accelerating your development, the camps look to celebrate the position of goalkeeping and have a fun festival like feel to them so you can immerse yourself in a truly unique training environment driven by lots of passion and expertise in the sport. We’ve recently partnered with OBO to further enhance the experience with the opportunity to try kit as well as being fitted properly by an OBO specialist.

  1. WELL DONE MADDIE! You’ve done it all and finding time to give something back, you’re an example to everyone. Goalkeeping is now becoming recognised as a focal point in any Hockey team. Oh yes, back in the day I was goalkeeper for Bath Buccaneers, Somerset and the West…so I know what I’m talking about. I last strapped on my kit at the England Hockey Regionals, back in 2019, for the West Vets…I was ‘back in the room’. Did OK and came home with two gongs, not bad after not having played for ~3 decades. Maddie…you’re the greatest, make sure your GB successor is just as brilliant.
