Hollie Pearne-Webb: We’ve needed an equal footing with the men in European club hockey

Hollie Pearne-Webb, the England women’s captain, says that EHL women needs to have parity with the greater expsoure given to the men since the competition’s inception.

Pearne-Webb is into her second cycle as national captain of England and Great Britain and is set for a busy few months of action, which includes the World Cup, Commonwealth Games and EuroHockey qualification in the 11-a-side format.

And while Hockey 5s has yet to take off, there is every indication that world hockey chiefs are ramping up the promotion of the outdoor shortened format.
