Wimbledon coach bemoans Hockey Pro League clash in key club weekend

Wimbledon will be missing seven players for their London derby with Hampstead & Westminster on Sunday, with their coach Karl Stagno admitting the Pro League clash in India is further “decimating” England Hockey’s top flight.

Wimbledon will renew rivalry with Hampstead & Westminster, with victory leaving Karl Stagno’s side in a strong position in their bid to return to European club hockey. But they will do so with a raft of players missing from the fray.

“How do you replace seven players? I don’t know,” said Stagno.
