The Hockey Writers’ Club has chosen this image taken by seasoned photographer Peter Smith as its November photo of the month.
The image was captured in a game between University of Bristol 2s and Bristol and West using a Canon 1DX mk 3.
“I was happy that I captured the athleticism of the keeper in focus, but disappointed I didn’t get the ball in the shot!” said Smith, a West Country-based photographer.
