Ex Australia Hockey performance director to lead cycling probe

Australia's hockey programme could also move from Perth when its current deal with Hockey WA ends in 2024.

Toni Cumpston, the former Hockey Australia high performance director, is to lead a probe into Team Australia’s dramatic crash at the Olympic velodrome during Tokyo 2020.

Aussie cyclist Alex Porter was riding in the men’s team pursuit when his handlebar snapped mid race and ended any hopes of gold. They eventually won bronze.
