“Let’s keep hockey going in Middlesex” is the message from Middlesex Hockey Association (MHA) president Lynne Morgan after England Hockey’s AGM resolution brought the end of the Middlesex county leagues.
England Hockey’s AGM resolution sees the men’s and women’s leagues up and down the country split into eight main areas below the top three tiers – East, Greater London, Midlands, North East, North West, South Central, South East and South West.
In March, Middlesex Hockey raised “deep concern” after England Hockey intended to “extinguish” it as a hockey county.
“It is a retrograde step for the game in our County particularly for our juniors & schools,” posted on social media.
