The 3G pitch threat: Causes, effects and possible treatments for hockey

HANNAH MADDEN says hockey can overcome the 3G issue affecting hockey in the UK if we can openly confront the problem

In June, this publication covered the collapse of Clacton Hockey Club in England. In this paper’s own words, “missed opportunities, lack of volunteers and losing a pitch to 3G accounted for Clacton’s sad demise.”
