Belgium hockey reaches 53,000 players as club game grows

Playing numbers in Belgium continue to forge an upward trajectory as one of hockey’s biggest success stories continues to reap domestic rewards thanks to international success.

There are now over 53,000 playing members across the country, with juniors constituting 50 per cent of the numbers –  a significant increase from the 10,000 or so playing prior to 2000.
