Taste of Rio: Story behind hockey couple’s kitchen shoot-out video

The hockey-mad couple who recreated Great Britain women’s golden moment in Rio five years ago have revealed the level of detail it took to compile their 20-second video.

Billy ‘Whizz’ Harvey, 51, and Michele ‘Pecka’ Harvey, 52, were married a decade ago and have experienced enough ‘triumphs and disasters’ during their time together – cancer scares, heart attacks, mental health issues and national Masters success – to last a lifetime.

It was during lockdown that their Rio recreation came to light, inspired after watching an episode of Channel 4’s Taskmaster, where members of the public are set stupid tasks to complete, one of which included recreating iconic sporting moments in 20 seconds.
