Germany tactical masterclass prevails over ‘hot-headed’ Argentina

Germany beat the “hot-minded” Argentinians to reach the Olympic men’s semi-finals for the fifth time in succession after a tactical, typically efficient masterclass in sweltering Tokyo conditions on Sunday.

A 3-1 win against the Olympic champions thanks to an all-firing penalty corner attack was sweet revenge for Die Homanas after losing to Los Leones in the semi-finals at Rio 2016.

All out entertainment this certainly wasn’t as Germany stifled Argentina’s counter attackers with a compact performance and perfect match plan.
