Olympics Hockey: Argentina unity and ‘struggles’ can be powerful Tokyo weapons, says, Aymar

When Luciana Aymar speaks, you listen. And when she predicted the Argentine women’s team could use their superb blend of youth and experience to great effect at the Tokyo Oympics, their ears clearly pricked up.

Aymar, a record eight-times World Hockey player of the year, said that she had little doubt the squad could return to the podium after the 43-year-old had featured in four consecutive Olympic medal-winning squads from 2000-2012.

“They’ve got a lovely squad, with great chemistry and empathy between them. I have so much faith they can reach the podium,” she told Télam.
