EuroHockey 2021: Chloe Watkins set to lock horns against dad’s No 1 fan

Chloe Watkins joked that Spanish rival Gigi Oliva is her dad’s No.1 fan ahead of Ireland’s crunch EuroHockey Pool encounter on Wednesday.

Ireland women’s tight win over Scotland set up a showdown with Spain on Wenesday where victory should put Ireland through to the semi-finals for the first time and guarantee a World Cup ticket for the 2022 showcase.

Spain and Ireland have long been rivals down the years as they’ve risen up the world rankings.
