Sports period wear founders hail ‘gamechanger’ for women

A premium sports period wear brand has launched which its founders say is ideal for hockey players.

The Iceni silver range (readers can claim discount code below) is made using organic cotton materials and technology which has proved to be the most successful material to absorb moisture, making them unique to the market and “a gamechanger in women’s sanitary sport wear”.

The underwear was designed by two friends, both mothers of sporty young girls, who made it their mission to design and create the most effective knickers available and to satisfy a clear gap in the women’s sanitary sportswear market.

What they say

‘ICENI Silver pants allow you to stay active at any time of the month which is a real game changer for an athlete, especially in competition – you can stop worrying about your period and concentrate on the match in hand!

Founders Francesca Hansen and Vanessa Smith, a former England Netball international, found themselves more and more hearing their daughters say that one of their friend’s wasn’t training because they were on their period and they were dreading their own.

They have now launched a collection to cater for that.

They said: “We offer a range of high quality sustainable period wear that has been designed and tailored for different kinds of sports and activities. Our underwear uses the most advanced Silvadur material which is antimicrobial and has odour protection.

“The Warrior and Game Changer are ideal for hockey and provide 8 hours protection on a heavy flow, enabling you to focus on your game and not your period.”

Hockey Paper readers can claim a 10% discount on the collection using code THP10. Go to www.icenisilver.com
