Alex Danson-Bennett: My Hidden Story

Rio Olympic hero Alex Danson retired from hockey in February 2020 due to a “life-changing” head injury. Here, in association with Investec, she tells her story. We will be publishing a special issue in our March edition to celebrate Alex’s career.

Investec recognises that distinctive performance is about overcoming your battles as well as being at the top of your game. It understands that a strong mindset is sometimes your most powerful tool. Investec has been a proud sponsor of GB & England women’s hockey from grassroots to international level since 2011. Alex Danson partnered with Investec, for which she is an ambassador, to tell her story.
