Chris Mayer steps down at Leicester

[img_assist|nid=6349|title=Leicester Ladies|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=123|height=125]Having coached at Leicester HC for 12 very successful years, the club’s 1stteam coach Chris Mayer has decided to put down his coaching board and take a step away from the hockey world.

 Chris has enjoyed an outstanding career with Leicester HC, proving this caliber and talent as a top-level coach. In his 12 years at the club, he has achieved an impressive number of league titles, National Cups and twice runners up of the European Cup.

He has been a perennial contender for the Leicester Mercury sports coach of the year award, being commended on multiple occasions. His commitment and dedication to Leicester HC has not only made the club a success but has also played a huge part in producing and developing a number of outstanding players of Olympic and International standard.
