[img_assist|nid=4209|title=|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=86|height=100]LONDON, August 30 -The draws have been made for rounds one and two of the English hockey’s men’s cup (Push still calls it the HA Cup for sentimental reasons).
The draw has thrown up an exciting all national league premier division clash between Surbiton and Southgate.
In the round one ties, Bedford Town will host West Herts and Brighton & Hove will visit Chichester Priory Park.
With just the two ties in round one, the draw for round two also took place with the stand out match of the draw being an all premier clash between Surbiton and Southgate. To add extra spice to the tie, the match will be the second time in as many days the teams meet with Surbiton also hosting Southgate in the league the day before.
Cup holders Beeston, the England Hockey club of the season, begin their defence of the title with a home tie against conference north side Leek. Elsewhere, in Hampshire, Conference West side Fareham host last season’s Cup runners-up and premier division side Hampstead & Westminster.
Of the other big names in round two, Canterbury have a home tie against Buckinghamshire side Marlow, who won promotion from their division of the MBBO league (Middlesex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire) while Cannock will make the short trip down the M6 to take on Rugby & East Warwickshire.
The draws for rounds one and two of the HA Cup can be seen below in full. The draw for the first round of the Investec Women’s Cup will be made week commencing September 3.
