Great Britain women draw world number one Netherlands in Olympic hockey preliminary round

[img_assist|nid=1576|title=|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=180|height=210]Great Britain have draw world number one Netherlands, China, Korea, Japan and Belgium in th epool stage of the London 2012 Olympic Games hockey competition.

With Japan earning the last spot in the London Games in the recent qualifier in Japan, the preliminary round picture became clear. In the next few weeks, the Unternational Hockey Federation (FIH) and the London organising committee will work together to finalise the competition schedule for the Games.

The women’s preliminary round groups for London are:

Group A  (women)

Netherlands
Great Britain
China
Korea
Japan
Belgium 

Group B (women)

Argentina
Germany
New Zealand
Australia
United States
South Africa

After their win in Japan, South Africa have been slotted into the sixth place in men’s group A finalising the groups on the men’s side.

The London 2012 men’s preliminary round groups are:

South Africa 

Group B (men)

Netherlands
