Mercian Hockey are delighted to announce that DCS Europe, the company owned by leading British entrepreneur Denys Shortt has agreed to sponsor 100 sets of junior goalkeeping kit. This will help clubs and schools fund an otherwise expensive resource and ensure that young players are suitably protected as more juniors get involved in hockey in this pre-Olympic season.
Clubs and School wishing to take advantage of the support of DCS Europe and Denys Shortt should call Mercian on 01483 757677 or e-mail email@example.com.
Denys says ‘England Hockey Board have done some great work to survey clubs and schools, identifying a consistent message that one of the barriers to entry for young players and also to clubs developing teams of young players is the cost of equipment.’
‘I have a passion for the sport and with my own hockey background and growing involvement with hockey on many levels such as the Ladykillers Hockey Club, the EHB 1908 club and the like, this opportunity was a natural fit for my companies objectives of supporting community sport and assisting people to just be able to play the game.’
