Pakistan then won the right to face Australia in tomorrow’s final in Ipoh with a 3-2 win over the hosts.
In Saturday’s final game New Zealand lost the trans-Tasman tie against Australia 4-2, although the Kookaburra’s place at the top of the table had already been secured.
Great Britain’s only goal of the day came from Surbiton’s Matt Daly who equalised mid-way through the first half. This came after GB had fallen behind to a ninth minute penalty corner. Korea regained the lead before half time.
A third Korean goal, which squeezed over the line from a penalty corner five minutes into the second half, put the game just out of reach of GB, who continued to press right to the end.
Simon Mantell and Richard Alexander both had efforts saved by the Korean goalkeeper while Dan Fox and Rob Moore could not quite find the target as the clock ticked down.
