Easter means Europe for top UK clubs

There is some major European hockey action over Easter and the good news is some of it will be televised in the UK on British Eurosport 2.

The broadcast schedule includes the Blue Riband game of the weekend for UK fans – the East Grinstead vs Reading clash at 8.30am (UK) Saturday morning. East Grinstead won 3-2 at home the last time the sides met in a tight championship semi-final on April 3. In March, at Reading, it was the same scoreline, but this time with Reading taking the win. Expect another close game on Saturday.

English Champions Beeston play Dinamo Kazan (Russia) on Good Friday at 8.30am UK time in another game scheduled for broadcast.

TV/Internet Coverage

All men’s Euro Hockey league games (April 22-25, Bloemendaal in the Netherlands) are streamed live (and very well) at www.ehlhockey.tv.

Some games are also being shown on British Eurosport 2. BEWARE British Eurosport 2 (BE2) has different scheduling to Eurosport 2 which is confusing as the latter shows much more hockey.

The best place to check the British Eurosport Schedule is http://tv.eurosport.co.uk/tvschedule.shtml There are currently no games scheduled for broadcast on Sunday or Monday on BE2 – but this may change so check the schedule!
