Canterbury hockey player Susie Rowe has been in the thick of things as England’s women’s cricketers have smashed Sri Lanka 3-0 in a T20 series.
Cricinfo reports Fran Wilson (16 not out) and Rowe (24 not out) added 43 from the last five overs to push England up to 160 and leave Sri Lanka demoralised in the third and final game of the series.
Sri Lanka then crumbled to 71 all out and a series whitewash.

23-year-old Rowe made her Twenty20 international debut in the first match of the series, but did not bat. She was run out for five in the second game. Her 24no innings included one six and one four.
All games were played in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
