Germany won the Four Nations invitational at Nottingham with a penalty corner goal in the dying seconds of the first period of golden-goal extra time.
The game had started well for hosts Great Britain as they cruised to a 2-0 half time lead with a cheeky finish from Barry Middleton after burgling Florian Fuchs at the top of the circle and a James Tindall PC.
Germany hit back with second-half goals from Linus Butt and Martin Zwicker. GB had a chance to win in extra time when Adam Dixon put a rebound over the bar after a James Tindall shot had hit keeper Max Weinhold. Weinhold also brilliantly saved an Ashley Jackson PC in extra time.
